Is it worth it?

Hello all. Just a quick question. I'm interested in this game and love city builders and strategy games.
The game is a little pricey for a old retired guy like me but I'm still considering getting it in the future.
I've read a lot of the reviews and stuff and a large number say to make sure to play with friends. Unfortunately I have no friends to play with so it will just be solo for me.
Is it worth it to buy for a single player game or is it going to be similar to most of the other city builders I have?
I just don't want to waste money on something I will be bored with in a couple weeks solo.

Hey Doomed, our apologies for the delay in responding! While the multiplayer element of Thrive is one part of gameplay, the game is also designed with the single-player experience in mind and there's a lot of content for solo players to enjoy! There's a storyline throughout and since launching into Early Access we've been hard at work introducing new content, improvements and fixes in our updates!
