All these years later, and it having been on sale for five bucks, was the game truly as awful as people said all those years ago? The game's fine. Am I happy what they did to the Dark Queen? Not really, but it's a minor thing. I'm having fun.

I agree. The game's fine. It's not a masterpiece and it doesn't reach the heights set by the NES and SNES games, but it's fun for what it is and it's worth playing.

Indeed. I refunded this because..well, WrestleQuest is coming out next month. That and it's currently a Devolver Sale. I enjoyed what I played.

Yes, it was and still is every bit as awful as it was 3 years ago and this series was better off staying dead.

It's a terrible, dreadful game, filled with unfunny annoying millennial "irony" humor, the most basic and unpolished Unity student project-level minigames submitted as full levels, the most hideous artstyle I've ever seen, and very little in the way of actual depth or satisfying gameplay.

It was an alright game. Just not a Battletoads game.
