horrible art style!

what have you guys done to battlketoads??? it used to be an 18+ cartoon style, dark and violent.
now it's like some artist from nickelodeon was hired to produce this junk!!!!

i was sooooo hyped when iheard they wer making a remake, now im just disapointed and will most likely keep my money for something else. and go play the originals on retroarch lol

i don't think they will completely change the art syle...seems like the game is almost ready. im sure the gameplay is cool, but i can't stand that cartoonish squary style :(

Nickelodeon was the first thing I thought of when I saw it too. Definitely not a fan. Dark Queen's redesign looks terribly boring. I'll probably not play it either. It's a shame too cause I've waited for this series to make a come back.

I'm just wondering why they even dug this oldass IP from their attic just to scrap the recognizable cartoony heavy metal look altogether? Makes no sense to me.

I wouldn't even know this was BattleToads if the name wasn't there.

Why is all the homoeroticism gone, that was the biggest selling point of the past games, it's like the devs never played any of them before and just made this one after being told what the games were like in the past, this was their chance to make another battletoads game after 26 years and they just make it into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meme and make all the humor internet jokes

The good thing about the game was the difficulty and a lot of stages with acid humor and violence ( that was removed :( )

Everybody's outfits was a billion times better in the prior games, can none of the artists draw latex? Nobody's got latex anymore

i mean, they take an established old IP, that has a dedicated fanbase, delete everything memorable/special from it, tack on an ugly kiddy artstyle and probably wonder why it gets shat on.

Even if the gameplay (that looked actually kind of fun) is good/great, this will most likely not be enough to prevent people (rightfully so) from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on it.
