Bug on Steam Deck
Hi everyone, I'm writing to you because I wanted to report a bug in the game with the Steam Deck. The real problem is that dinosaurs have "corrupted" textures, their body is "segmented" as if it were "shredded" and the textures are broken, it seems as if they are "leaking" from the dinosaurs' body. I tried to check the integrity of the files, downloaded and corrected some errors, but the problem remains. Solutions?

Who do we report it to?

2 things to do;
1-store->jurassic world Evolution 2->report this product->doesnt work+the explanation.
2-your library->jurassic world Evolution 2->settings icon->properties->opinion->check the one "not my experience"

Extra: If you want, you can open a supoort ticket too
Maybe if they receive enough Steam make devs repair their own errors

Three months later and still not fixed. Really sad I got this game just for the steam deck early last year and it worked just fine then, but now i would say it is unplayable. Going to see if i can get a refund even though I have a decent amount of playtime, and I would recommend others do the same. Getting a flood of refund requests may be the only way they'll take it seriously.

Checking in to say it's still busted on my OLED Deck as well. Love this game, would love to see a fix soon.

The bug is still there, sadly. I bought the game yesterday and had to ask for refund. I did manage to fix the bug by switching to preview version of the system, but come on, I’m not gonna sacrifice being on a stable OS version just because of one game. Looking forward to seeing this weird issue fixed!

It doesn't seem to be very important for Frontier to fix that bug.
I mean, for me it is ok, I have zillions of other games to play on the Deck, that do work.
However, I would have played this game, if it worked, and I would have bought the DLCs that I am still missing. Money Frontier doesn't get...

It is, thanks for the info :)

There was an software-update on the deck today. Probably that why. Not on jwe, so the devs don't seem to have fixed the bug themselves...

I can confirm the new software update for deck fixes the issue with textures. Also I’ve set the default Proton version

Just checked as well! Issue is resolved!

While I am glad it has been fixed for Steam Deck users, this issue still persists on Windows, for me it has been happening for over a year, the textures have been broken ever since the Dominion Malta Expansion and Update 5 was released on 8 December 2022. The textures are fine in all builds/versions before that update (I confirmed it by downloading most of the older builds).

For anyone who wants to know, my specs are the following:

Dell Inspiron 15 5510
CPU: Intel Core i5-11320H 3.20 GHz 2.50 GHz
GPU: Intel Iris Xe (96 EU's, DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6, OpenCL 3.0, Vulkan 1.3.250, 8 GB Shared VRAM)
RAM: DDR4-3200 16 GB (15.7 GB Usable)
OS: Windows 11 Home x64
Storage: 256 GB NVMe SSD

I set the resolution at 960x540, all graphics settings at max, shadows off, and the game ran perfectly around 30 fps, sometimes more.

Off topic but still relevant: Before I used to play at 720p and got around 30 fps at the same settings, but performance and framerates have worsened ever since the Dominion Biosyn Expansion and Update 3 released on 14 June 2022, for example, in species viewer, zooming in on dinosaurs reduces the framerates to around 10, but before the Dominion Biosyn Expansion and Update 3, I could set the resolution at 1080p and get 30+ fps fully zoomed in on any dinosaur in species viewer.
