use the hatchery as normal

you can either capture wild ones (not very often) or you can buy a hatchery, go to expedition center, mine some fossils, use the science center to get DNA, once you have 50-60% of the DNA for a dino you can use the genomes you got from the fossils to make a dino egg in the hatchery

The campaign is a tutorial on how everything works. Definitely recommend playing it before jumping into sandbox.

Play the campaign first and then play chaos mode - jurassic park, it teaches you a lot - i just finished those and feel like I know all the mechanics except lagoons

I know the voices of those idiotic actors are annoying, but the campaign is actually a decent tutorial to the game , otherwise I'd never find the way to make dinos by myself.

as i just learned since i started this today, you get them either from:
random events on the expedition map
buying them/the eggs/dna from the exchange
using fossils found on expeditions to get dna in order to make your own eggs at hatcheries
