good mod for first time putting mods on

never modded this game, but i quite fancy the idea of it, sadly looking through nexus there are soooo many, i definitely want more creatures of all kinds, love muh fish, what are some mods yall like?

I would recommend Kaiodenic mods first.
It has a little bit of everything in terms of models, visual and mechanical improvements to the game. (Don't forget to check the Requirements tab of the mods)

There is also the Jurassic Park Trilogy Overhaul Pack and JP operation genesis skin pack.

Most of the new species packs are outdated... I recommend looking for them in the "Update" tab next to "Random" and "Tracked content updates".
