Get rid of all mods
Hey guys,
i read every day more threads of problems and issues, all caused by the install of mods, mostly from nexus mods.
If you want a clean and good gameplay delete them all, and enjoy the game as it meant to be.

Known bugs of installing mods so far: not working of mouse hardware, several game crashes when they placing fences, gates and feeders, corrupted game files that causes gpu malfunction and graphic glitches, crash to destop causes by wrong ram usage and modified game files, and much more…

Trust me, if you want a smooth and flawless gameplay, just get the game updates from frontier here on steam and just enjoy the game how its meant to be.
Just get rid of that mods.
Tell your friends and thank me later. Have fun.

Some of these happen with unmodded versions of the game (like placing feeders) and are bugs in the main game, but yeah, most are probably due to mods.

Nexus isn't really a very good place to be anymore anyway from what I've been hearing. It's been turning into a political warzone ever since Russia started having issues against the Ukraine. Don't mod JWE2, Frontier does not endorse it and it can (and most likely will) damage the game in many ways

Yea, but how silly and unrealistic would parks look without the free build mod. With placement restrictions for buildings and paths and everything. Having SPACE between the buildings, unable to build a real storefront and squares and a park that looks like a park that would exist in reality.
Seriously, this mod (and some others) improved the game so much for me, it would not be the same game without.
Besides, none of the mods that I used caused servere problems for me.
Maybe its the ones that use ACSE.

But you don't really need it, hell Evolution Square sows off everyday that you don't really need mods to make something beautiful and without the use (or need) for mods. Heck there's two glitches you can use to put dinosaurs inside of aviaries, no need for huge enclosures just keep them fed and watered while they are inside.

Modding can actually add some nice additions to the game. I will mod when it's save to do so (as I like to change the skins of some of the animals to more realistic ones which look better in some cases), and some mods are copied by Frontier and added after the fact that modders created them (like first person mode and more decorations). Other mods that are great are no hitboxes and advanced terrain tools.

I won't be modding anytime soon myself, not until the game has run it's course and no more updates and content will be added (don't want to break and mess up my game). Mods however gave JWE1 a second life at the end. Even Evolution Square loved using mods in the first game.

Sure, I don't necessarily need mods to play and make things beautiful. But even simple things like this hotel complex weren't possible:

And if I could not build things like this one as simple, where is the fun?

I also use the extended terrain tools and the invisible fences.

I do not really see a reason why I would not use them, because the game runs as smooth as it can get. And my hardware does not even meet the minimum requirements. I do always use the latest drivers tho.
But if I ever come across any problems, first thing I try is disabeling the mods.

But my flawed buggy game breaking experience has come from a completely vanilla install.

Now admittedly all the major bugs I've had have been fixed in the latest patch (and some in the previous one), but to say the experience is flawless without mods is a straight up lie.

It really depends on the system. Some people seem to have a lot of problems and especially crashes which can be really annoying to the point of not wanting to play at all. Others have very few issues. Don't say people are lying unless you can back it up. People have different experiences on different systems.

I myself haven't had any major issues. I've had a single crash in about 100 hours of play time. And that crash was only when I quit the game. The main bug I've had that I get occasionally is the animals getting stuck. It's kinda annoying when it happens, yes. But it's not game breaking.

I have no mods and still cannot click on any of my buildings etc it's a bug in the update and a ticket has been opened so i am sure they are fixing it

There's a lot to fix. I hope a patch will be released soon. My game now crashes with every random little thing like placing a fence or feeder. That never happened before the last update.

And seeing I was able to run the game flawelesly before the update on the highest settings I know it has to do with this update.
