Like Jurassic Park Operation Genesis?
Is this the same as Jurassic world evolution or is there a sandbox mode where you can do what you want?

Jurassic World Evolution is the spiritual successor to Operation Genesis and this game is the sequel to JWE 1. In my opinion this game is a lot then JWE1 as it adds new dino types and QoL features..

Much closer to it. Apparently the AI is a lot closer to JPOG's than the pre-release footage has shown.

They do have a lot more micromanagement than JPOG did, and it seems like much of it is tedious, annoying, and of course doesn't make logical sense either. It seems like a lot of the micromanagement was just added for the sake of having micromanagement to either satisfy the people who wanted "deeper-management" or as an F you to them.

JWE 2 also doesn't have a true equivalent to "Operation Genesis Mode" either, though there are many people requesting one.

Finally the game is very buggy, unbalanced, and broken at the moment as most PC games are on their initial release.

Honestly JWE1 was more a cheap knock off than a spiritual successor.

It's jurassic world evolution but worse. Super short campaign, glitches out the butt, no clear instructions on the management side. And the worst part is this is the worst sandbox I've ever seen, sheer incompetence, everything is locked behind challenge and Chaos theory mode, which is punishing and time consuming. Bought this game for ps4 and have been regretting it since. Will never buy another Frontier product after this BS.

How could it be worse than JWE? JWE wasn't even better than it's so called predecessor JPOG. I might not be convinced that JWE 2 is a good game, but I'm definitely sure it's better than JWE. The only thing that could make it worse is if the micromanagement is too annoying and frustrating.

Micromanagement is alright at times, but what kills it is the sheer increase in prices, to get a trex to 100% dna will cost like 8 to 10 million for the 3 digs ites, another 3 to 4 million just to clone a single rex. All of sandbox is locked behind chaos theory and challenge mode, beat JP chaos on second try but am on 5 try for San Diego. Medics have to be forced to heal dinosaurs even though they just scanned them to see what's wrong. Even the deluxe dinos are locked behind the other modes. All that was added to this game was some micromanagement tasks, better models, and more animations. Trying to make money is this game is crazy with how high the prices are, over seventy thousand just to get one scientist to rest. It cost fifty thousand just to sell non fossils.

Also the driving in this game is far worse then the last game, barely touched a build and my car goes flying, can barely turn unless I slow down to a stop. It's ridiculous to see how they messed this up.

That's kinda how driving works IRL though...

When a jeep drives like a bus, there's an issue. I don't expect to pull nascar with this game but the jeep's barely turn and as mentioned before is you nudge a building or hit say a compy the car goes flying. At one point my jeep was break dancing and I had to leave the jeep just to get it to stop spinning on its hood.

Turning feels okay to me, honestly, but you're definitely right about mass. It's way too easy to send these suckers into the air.

Sorry for the bump. So essentially besides dinosaurs and basic features for a park management game, this game, like the first one, is nothing like Operation Genesis? That sucks

I wouldn't say "nothing like". In terms of similarities, the only thing I can think of that this game is missing would be... I guess dino droppings and random map generators? Other than that, the core spirit of the game is very similar to that of Operation Genesis.

Is there a map creator like in JPOG? Really loved how sandboxy JPOG was. I bought the first JWE and refunded it soon after. Trying to see if this one is anything like JPOG

Sadly not. The campaign is more like a tutorial, and the scenarios are not really much. Buy jurassic world evolution 1+ add ons. So you have 50x more to do. And then wait somebit till there is more content.

Guess that is the best at the moment

I believe it's not at all intended to be like JPOG, and is trying to do it's own thing rather then just being a clone of it.
