Was the sandbox large map bug fixed?

Game will no longer load after you've build on about 55-65% of the land on those huge square maps. Was this ever resolved?

No idea what google drive is, I did upload some to the Frontier Site and they said they were unable to get any to open. So they left it as is.......this was almost 2 years ago.

So, I am at over 300 creatures now (all sea and flying creatures have been released), but I'll still add more land creatures.

Performance is bad, but still playable luckily. Loading the save takes ages. oO


Maybe I'll get close to the crash soon. :O

By the way, could you share one of your saves were the game crashes upon loading?
Unmodded would be best, as I do not use any mods and having mods saved could cause issues.
But I really would like to try loading it.

Well speaking about recommended specs:

Processor: Intel i7-5775C/AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: (6GB VRAM) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX 570 (8GB)
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 14 GB available space

I am far above any of them.
64 GB RAM for example. 24 GB VRAM.
And an i9 with 16 cores @ 4.5 GHz.

That system was quite high end in 2020, but is now incredibly aged already. :(


I'm not using the highest graphic setting.
Resolution is set to 2560x1440 with most graphic settings set to high, a few of them lower.
I'm also using DLSS.
But the occasional ghosting as of bad implementation is quite horrible. :/
