Jurassic World Evolution 2 Crash on starup
Hello, I have a problem when starting the game, I automatically receive a crash report, the game cannot start, does anyone have any advice on how to solve this problem? I was playing without problems before, I took a break and since yesterday I've been trying to fix it

Was about to make my own discussion about this given how horrid my experience with the support team has been so here's what I've tried because it sounds like we're having the same issue!

To start, here's what support suggested.
Clean driver installation -

Download a copy of the latest driver package for your GPU, but don't install it just yet. Save it to your desktop or some other easily accessible location.

Now, download the Display Driver Uninstaller from this link:

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Run this and choose the Nvidia (for my system) option from the drop box. When it asks to reboot into safe mode in order to perform the uninstall process, click yes and allow the program to proceed.

After the uninstallation process is complete, install the new driver package you previously downloaded followed by a reboot of the system to ensure the new drivers are properly initialized.

Repair System Image Using DISM

DISM is Windows' in-built disk image repairing tool. It's recommended that users run DISM before SFC for a much thorough and effective repair process.

In the Start menu search bar, type cmd and right-click on Command Prompt > Run as administrator.
In the console, type Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and press Enter.
After this, type Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and hit Enter.
Wait for Windows to complete the process.

Repair System Files Using SFC

SFC stands for System File Checker; it finds and fixes corrupt system files. In addition to being effective, it's also easy to use:

In the Start menu search bar, type cmd and right-click on Command Prompt > Run as administrator.
In the console, type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
Wait for the process to complete, then reboot your computer.
------------------------------------------------------------------
When I scanned using DISM and SFC it did report broken components so I thought okay- maybe it'll be fixed. Nope! I messaged support again looking for assistance and as of writing this post it's been a full day with no solution.

Beyond just the recommendations I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, validating files, checking all my drivers were up to date and making sure I had no windows updates.

The only thing that briefly fixed my game (as it's now broken once again) was uninstalling it and reinstalling it on my C drive rather than my D drive. I'm not techie enough to know why that fixed it, let alone only briefly fixed it but here we are.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
As far as I can figure prior to the anniversary update everything worked as intended for me. I play with all the DLC installed and could run it without lagging. The 9th everything broke and I've been trying to fix it since.

I have had this issue for a bit as well. I have a LONG string of emails with support on trying to fix it and still wont work. Support said my system is great for the game on high settings but still I get crashes. They have had me do uninstalls, clean ups and everything else we can think of. Anyone else have any ideas?

If you have mods, download the latest version of them and replace them with the old ones.

Without knowing or getting into the details of your specs and what settings you've got the only thing I could think of doing further would be if you overclock your system turn off overclocking as apparently this game tends to dislike this or if you have two drives (like for me I have a C drive and a D drive) you could try completely uninstalling the game from one drive and putting it on the other. Although that only briefly fixed my issues with constantly crashing.

Oh that never came up. Yeah I have 2 drives. I will try that.

I have had this problem since release, I played it a little on release, then it started to crash on launching the game, so I waited some months for them to fix it, I have tried a fresh clean install a few times, just cannot get it to work

I also have crashing problems, never had it before.
Especially when plaiying the Biosyn.

i9, RTX 4090, 64gb ram.

Don't have problems with anything else - using latest driver.

Is your CPU one of the intel 13th or 14th generations that's being having instability issues? I have had the same issues with this game (and many other games lately). My cpu was an i9-14900k and despite doing all the usual prescribed fixes (verify integrity, clean install of gpu drivers, even clean install of os, etc.) I have continued to have nothing but problems even with the bios microcode update. The only thing that has finally fixed all these issues for me was purchasing and installing a 12th gen processor - i9-12900k (it also uses the LGA 1700 socket so I didn't have to change mobo). Don't believe one thing that intel says, they haven't repaired a thing and don't waste your time trying drivers or fresh installs. If you have a 13th or 14th gen processor, my recommendation is to throw it right in the garbage can.
