Avian Pox Vaccine Trigger?

Just how quarantined does your animal have to be for Avian Pox to trigger?

I've sold off every other animal with the disease so that I have a single animal in its own habitat with the disease and the timer will not trigger.

I even built an enclosure on the opposite end of the map from where my main park is and stuck the animal there all by itself with nothing anywhere near it and the timer still won't trigger.

What criteria do you have to meet in order to activate the timer exactly?

Thanks, looking through the post it seems incredibly arbitrary as to when it will and will not happen. There are some things for me to try though to see if I can get it to work.

oh i remember this bug happpened to me in my canada challenge.
avian pox medication.. not vaccine. the vaccine requires an aviary to be built. the medication requires quarantine if the sick animals.
in most other situations, I had no problem unlocking the avian pox medication. except during my canada challenge.

Yeah, that is what I am on. The Canada challenge. I guess that is just a known bug then?

i remember that after quarantining all 3 of my sick dinos in 3 separate new enclosures, the timer did not start.
so i gave up by selling off all 3..
and in the middle of the transport process, the timer started going down. haha

It should trigger as soon as all dinos with Avian Pox are in their own separate enclosure (All dinos with the Pox can be in one enclosure, you don't need one for each individual animal, as long as they are the same species). If it's not happening for you, it sounds like a bug. Try reloading the game or selling all the sick dinos.
