Unlocking everything

Do you have to complete campaign, chaos theory and challenge to unlock everything(Including Early Cretaceous DLC). I did not play the first game so i am a complete noob when it comes to this game and i'm just looking for advice

Yes. You need to play each mode, unlock each map, research everything, build each building and release each dinosaur/pterosaur/marine reptile ingame in order to use it freely for sandbox.

Or you download a 100% savefile from Nexus Mods which takes a couple of minutes.

Thx for the advice, i did want to do the campaign anyway i just wonderd if i could go straight into sandbox or not

You can still play and enjoy the campaign even if you download the 100% save file with an added bonus that you have everything unlocked for sandbox.

you can, but you'll only have the maps, buildings and dinosaurs that you researched or released while playing it. that being said, chaos theory was pretty fun. well jp, jp2, and jw chaos theory were, jw2 was ok while jp3 was garbage. you should be able to unlock most if not all of the dinosaurs by doing the germany and nw usa challenge maps.

I'd advise against using the 100% save right away, and instead keep it in mind as an option in case you get frustrated with something later on.

This. For the first game I unlocked all of it myself (1000+ hours poured in). After that amount of time I couldn't do that for a second time. So I opted for the save file this time around. Never regreted it for a second XD
