Eh, wasn't the Quilshroom marsh a result of souls being bound to the cursed marsh as mushrooms? And didn't that happen during the Priestess' curse?

A nameless female monk became one of the strongest messengers, at some point between SoS and TM. She beat the thing people called the Primal Fear, but it cursed her. Then she, as the Queen of Quills, cursed people turning them into those pi**ed off spiky mushrooms. I can't find confirmation anywhere that this Primal Fear did the same thing before the monk curse.

Yomara already has a book called Primal Fear in SoS, so that's already a known being. So the singing mushrooms there could also be the result of a slightly different curse, or just a natural thing. They sure seem happy there and they're miserable in TM.

Did Thierry mention Primals in contrast to the Ovates' songster magic to tell us that the Ovates made both? Or to imply that Aephorul later made them as a corruption of the earlier grand work? Or are Primals even older than the Ovates?

edit: Are the mushrooms singing because they used to be Ovates?!
