Yomara already has a book called Primal Fear in SoS, so that's already a known being. So the singing mushrooms there could also be the result of a slightly different curse, or just a natural thing. They sure seem happy there and they're miserable in TM.
I wonder if these Primals are older than Aephorul. Maybe he made them. Resh'an said Aephorul's tricks always involve big statues. But then, so do the Ovates', so Aephorul is just be copying them.
There's a giant hand sticking out of the ground in the marsh in TM. But I guess it's not the Primal's canon form for some reason.
Did Thierry mention Primals in contrast to the Ovates' songster magic to tell us that the Ovates made both? Or to imply that Aephorul later made them as a corruption of the earlier grand work? Or are Primals even older than the Ovates?
edit: Are the mushrooms singing because they used to be Ovates?!
Well, this answered and made more questions. Thanks. :)
