Music / audio popping issue

Anyone experience any crackling/audio popping issue in game? At first I thought it might be the campfire cracking however it seems to be present on the other areas as well. Have tried checking the integrity of the files as suggested by another thread but still no luck. Have also tried changing the windows audio settings from 24bit 48Hz to 44.1Hz but it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

I have a similar problem with my voice when recording my voice with a microphone while playing. The popping only appears in the game... when I close the game and record on desktop or in another game, no popping can be heared anymore... so it definitely has something to do with the game. I changed also my windows audio settings, but the popping is still there.

Since you mentioned recording your voice, I wonder if the issue is caused by an active microphone?

Hmm... I don't know... I am using a RØDE NT USB and never had this problem in other games and I recorded a lot other games. I'm not a specialist in audio techniques, but for me it looks like the digital audio mixer or the audio buffer overflows or gets resetted.

In my case, the popping only happens for the voice, but not for the game sound (I record voice and game separately). But I think, the cause might be the same as yours.

I could solve the problem... my USB microphone was connectred on a USB-Hub before... after I connected my microphone directly to an USB port of the mainboard the popping disappeared. Maybe you should try this too... trying another USB port (not via a hub).
