Black screen at Trek to the Center of the World

Every time I go down the hole for the Trek to the Center of the World, I can see my 3 characters but everything else is black. I can walk around and hit up against the borders of the area but I can't see anything other than the characters and am unable to progress because of it.

Anyone else having this issue??? I love the game and really want to be able to finish it.

I also had the same issue. I was able to solve it by disabling V-sync and turning to windowed mode x1, then restarting the game (not sure how related it is, though). Clearly, it isn't only a display issue, I am clearly not in a valid zone of the game. As soon as the first jump is done, I switched my settings back without further problem.

got that bug today.... i tried to quit game and reload but honestly after 10 plus try of this, i kind of gave up

I had this problem on the current Game Pass version. It went away after I quit and reloaded the game. I still lost some progress because there's no autosave before jumping down the whirlpool, though.

I was having this issue and turning v-synch ans adjusting resolution off seems to have corrected it

V-Sync Off + Putting resolution to minimum resolved this bug for me also

Having the same bug on the Steam Deck. Second screen on the trek to the sea of stars (You jump down a hole) is completely black with characters visible and controllable but no ability to progress.

Tried verifying game files and vsync/resolution changes and still have the issue.
