Is there a reason not to fish a pond clean?

Still early in the game so unless it's a spoiler... Seems like there is no real reason to let a fish go instead of fillet it, or to stop fishing. Are there any downsides? Like, a pond won't refresh the fish after as while if you fished them all or a reason not to fillet any fish you catch or something? Or can I just catch every fish in a pond and fillet them all and there will be no downsides for later?

Just enter the fishing zone from the map again and they all respawn. Go wild.

fishing is actually a decent way to make unlimited money. ~_~

Until you sadly realize 999 is the cap and the game wont warn you to sell stuff for nothing :O
