Game looks terrible on 65 inch 4k tv
I have been playing it on my ROG ally and decided to fire up my gaming PC connected to my TV. Graphics card is 7900xtx, the tv is 4k/120 hz VRR...pretty much has bells and whistles for gaming tv.

The issue is, it looks fantastic on the ROG Ally but when on the TV, man it looks horrendous. Am I missing some settings I need to tweak somewhere?

There's a Pixel Perfect option.

Pretty much this.

Besides that, it's a pixelart game, so you're bound to see big pixel blobs on a TV like yours regardless of graphics settings.

Playing on 4k 65" tv here as well and the game looks perfectly, but I'm using the pixel perfect option.

Why are you playing a pixel art game on a huge tv ? Weird.

Probably plays everything on a huge TV?
What's a "pixel perfect" for?

Well the Sea of Stars renders at 640x360.

Pixel games generally render at low resolution for that "pixel look".

Shoot Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters render at 320x180 in the fields (battles are slightly higher res).

Try a high res CRT reshade maybe.

Pixel art uses a set size for a pixel that ignores the fact that pixel size and density vary based on display resolution and physical size of the screen. Pixel Perfect scales the image to fit the display in a manner that is as accurate as possible, integer scaling being the most common from what I've seen.

An example would be scaling a 320x240 resolution image 4x to 1280x960 on a 1080p display will be very close to what the image would actually look like on a 320x240 display while still being reasonably viewable on a 1080p display. I only have a baseline understanding of it so someone can correct any inaccuracies.

Playing on a 65" 120hz VRR TV, potentially a similar models to yours (LG C series here). I have the official Steam Deck dock so I'm limited to 4k60. I'm also playing it at 1280x720. And it looks beautiful for what it is.

I have Pixel Perfect turned off but, from what I understand, the option shouldn't even do anything on this display.
