Depending on your resolution, there wont be any difference.
With a 16:9 screen it should make zero difference off or on.
With an ultra-wide screen it's up to you whether you want to keep it "pixel perfect" or stretch it some.
Steam Deck is 16:10 so will slightly stretch the pixels if the setting is off. Setting it on keeps the pixels as intended.
so the pixels doesnt gets stretched. tho, for some reason, even tho the game has a build in option for this, made someone a mod for it.
in anycase. if your screen is 16:9 and you play in said format will you literarly see no difference whatsoever.
