I enjoyed the puzzle aspects of the demo, especially where you could explore further if you were curious enough (instead of rushing to the boss by using all 3 crystals). I did have concerns about the economy in the game, hopefully it's not a hard grind for gold.
Anyways, if there is a lot more rewarding puzzle/exploration mechanics, I think it will change the length of the game for sure, if you're so inclined
Personally i think it will be a medium length.
Chrono Trigger is long enough...
The length of the demo was pretty good in my opinion. It showed me some of the key things in the game and I generally liked it. I do agree with the gold issue. If you wanted to get the secret stuff hidden in town you needed to get all the gold and also sell a lot of stuff. I hope that is not the case in the game after release.
IMHO, this game is okay, but not great. I enjoyed the fishing and combat, but the characters lack personality for me. Sometimes it's the case that, when a character speaks, I don't "hear" the character's voice but I instead think of the developer in the studio typing the text. That's how I felt about all of the dialog here. There are other things that added to this feeling, but yeh.
While some would enjoy a 5-10 hour demo, I would become bored long before I reached the end.
That's an awful take.
And I don't know what world you live on where a Demo for an Indie RPG is supposed to cover MORE than a tutorial field area, a minigame location, a town, AND a full dungeon with a Boss Fight... but suffice it to say that this demo was a Perfect slice of the game designed to give the flavor of the game without giving too much away.
