Octopath Traveller 2 has a perfect M+K implementation for a JRPG. Thought we had finally nailed the formula on PC for the genre.
Would love to see something similar here. Having no Mouse bindings allowed at all is.. not great for this platform.
Bro the game barely even has any inputs or prompts, it's a turn based JRPG where you are confirming and cancelling actions. There's ONE actual thing that you can do on the field that's not confirm/cancel and it's in your LEFT face button, regardless if it's X, Y, or square.
Like this stuff is not hard, I don't understand how anyone would get confused by button prompts. Every controller has the same layout, and if a game has xbox prompts on a nintendo pad you can just follow the game, X will be left, etc. It takes like 2 minutes to get used to, let alone in a turn based JRPG.
You know, I am starting to think most of these people are just trolls, People really can't be this big of Karens. Its ridiculous.
I said I 'heard' it uses a QTE system in battle. I don't know the specifics. If there's no onscreen prompts then that is great news.
Disagree with your last paragraph though. 30+ years of muscle memory knowing where the NIntendo layout is doesn't just go away after 2 minutes of playing a game with Xbox prompts.
This is not how the phrase is used. Not when concerns are legitimate.
Let's not forget this thread is about a PC game on the PC platform enquiring about a lack of native PC controls. I already namedropped something else that got it 100% perfect, so there's no reason any other game that comes after it can't follow suit and borrow from the same winning formula is all.
Jeez.
Same turn base combat but it has perfect k+m support.
Steam is for PC players, but devs don't even bother add inputs for mouse
The game for sure is glorious, but would like any other game out there benefit from more input options (aka accessibility feature no 1).
I'm PC only for 30+ years and don't even have a controller. For the over 1000 titles I played in this time, I'm fine with that.
