Key double keeps breaking

I have tried ten times already and it always breaks. Neither turning it slowly inch by inch nor in one smooth motion works. The guide says it's possible to avoid breaking it. Is there a trick to do it correctly or what? I'm literally about to go crazy

Turn it very slowly, maybe try turning the DPI on your mouse down if it helps

I played with a controller and moved very very slowly, even though I didn't even know if it actually could break and managed to open it.

Changing to the lowest DPI and moving slowly helped me not break the key.

I keep trying, I have it low and it doesn't seem to be working and I'm close to losing it. Like I'm putting the towel in with how unreachable this little thing is. I'm trying to be slow but I think I have the misfortune of the game itself lagging a bit, causing it to break no matter what I do.
