Stuck on a puzzle

Spoilers if you haven't got to where I am at (just nearly 3 hours of playtime).

The suitcase combination?

I have over read everything, even looking up the bloody song by Doris Day. And legit I am trying to brute force my way, because there's no real solid hints to solve this one dumb little puzzle.

Could someone let me know what the code is or guide me in a better direction than the game has attempted because I am just not getting it.

Oh wait nevermind, turns out that I had got it right the first time - just the game didn't register it until I closed out of it and got back into it.

Stuck at the same puzzle.

I think the second part is just "Doris". So the last two letters of this would be I and S.

I have absolutely no idea about the first part though. I'm not a native speaker and the only bars I can think of are chocolate bars and the bars you go to have a drink, but none of them seem to fit.

I guess I could try every remaining combination and try to brute force it, but I really want to know the solution, too.

edit: Just read you new post. Would you mind pointing ME in the right direction, then? :D

edit 2: Got it now. Just tried another five letter word that did not make much sense to me until then and upon realizing that the first two letters combined with the last two letters of the second word actually form a french word, I just tried it.

For anyone looking for the solution:

1. Part Tip: I don't have any tips for that because I don't really get the puzzle...
Solution: It's "Greta", the cat. So the first two letters are G and R
2. Part Tip: Referencing Doris Day (her name is an alliteration).
Solution: It's literally just "Doris". So the last two letters are I and S.

I was stuck on the exact same puzzle... and I looked at your spoiler for part 1 and was sooo confused on how/where Greta is found, I figured out the rest but was confused on where to find the solution.
Finally looked through my notes and realized near the suitcase where you read through all the letters, on the bed, is a collar for a cat named Greta, the letters also reference M "getting black hairs all over me". Originally I didn't realize it was a cat collar
