Has online coop been fixed?

Played this game with a friend on switch and wanted to buy it for myself, however, was wondering if the online coop issues been fixed? Worried about friends not being able to join in!

Hi! We are currently fixing an issue where players on consoles cannot connect to one another if they are hosting from the Central US region. That issue is fixed on the Steam version :)
