Warzone 2100
Proton and OpenGL
Hello new Warzone2100 Steam community! I am glad it finally got here :) Anyways I have a question. I was able to run warzone2100 via proton yesterday, but today I am running into a double buffering error for some reason with openGL. I was wondering if there is a fix for this? Currently I am trying to run it on Linux.

P.S. I have warzone on my computer from github. I am wondering if there is a way to run it on Steam

We must flood Steam realeser profile with that. Steam realese not needed if it be only Windows, at least it must be Mac. Of course, normal installed/updated client from Steam on Linux better too, than any repo or old Desura (back then). Devs release updates for Mac and/or Linux sometimes only as compile code.

I understand first hand that is stinks not having native Linux support first hand, but I know the dev said he would release it eventually for Linux and Mac. I was just wondering if there is a current fix for Steam. I can wait as long as it is stable. Ya know what I mean? :D
There already is native Linux (and macOS) support from the actual open-source developers: {ССЫЛКА УДАЛЕНА}

GitHub link: {ССЫЛКА УДАЛЕНА}

You can install the native Linux version easily via a Snap: {ССЫЛКА УДАЛЕНА}
And it'll stay updated automatically.

Better get it from the link above, plus you will get support from the devs that fully maintain the the game and source code.

wait... I thought development was terminated for this game and left to a community of sorts?

(Havent updated the game in a few years tbh)

the one that was linked in another thread is the team thats been working on it for years
there an team thats been updating it for free, there not tied to the orignal developers

and then we have the ones who released there work to steam which sounds like another branch off version.

ohh ok, I took it the original devs uploaded the game in Steam. I guess someone from the community decided to upload it on Steam.

well, the WZ2100.net team isnt tied to this release, this release was done by another team which is i would assume using an solid build that the other team made and then building there own version from that.

which is basiclly two different versions of the game being worked on by two different indie teams.
if im hearing right from watching the forums.

would you mind pointing me to the forums?
This is apparently not tied to anyone from the community who has worked hard over many years to improve the game, nor anyone involved in its active open-source development. This is just some random person uploading the open-source version to Steam (and trying to claim credit?)

:shockedkitty: oh thats not good news, that the steam version is having issuies that cant really be helped with :tshock: not really what to say anymore.
so its an broken version kinda?

well hopefully in the long run that gets corrected, uploading to steam id guess isnt that simple

but something to remember if people want too they can add the other version to there libary from the EXE shortcut i think was, wouldent allow all features, but it would allow overlay and screenshots i think
