Unbelievable
I actually saved the playstation 1 disc for this game (this and Road Rash) even though i haven't had a playstation one for idk how long, 15 years? unable to play it. What a fantastic blast from the past. Thanks a lot to the people who put it on steam and kept it going.

However i do need to ask is there another newer Warzone or maybe a game with the same type of individual unit building and recycling etc? because this game truly was unique at the time it came out and i was kinda hoping.......

Earth 2150 and 2160 are both in a very similar vein and I would recommend both, especially 2150. It has a wonderful campaign(3 actually) globe trotting and the follow ups are all solid.

Sadly, there arent many other games in a similar vein.

So i can "steal" technology and design my own units kind of thing? And the map expands the same as Warzone? come to think of it i did find a similar game it's somewhere in my library. I'll try to find the name of it as you guys might be interested.

I admit i haven't played it yet as i play games on a whim and currently i'm back to RPG type games, but i'm sure i'll get around to it eventually.

This has been available for free to download for many years at WZ2100.net or something along that lines. They've even continued bug fixes and development of sorts on the game. I am curious now, if this is the same version that's available or if someone else "redid" the game.

I recently got Earth 2150 and Earth 2160 again after owning them years ago. In my opinion they haven't stood the test of time anywhere near as well as Warzone 2100. I'm currently playing version 3.3 from https://wz2100.net/. It's great. Ground Control was pretty good too although, if I remember right, it had no base building. I remember Z: Steel Soldiers being enjoyable too. I still have the box and cd for that although it won't install because of Windows 10 desupporting the DRM software it uses.
