Hex of Steel
Is there a German Grand Campaign?
Just wanted to be sure before i go over my 2 hours.

Is there a grand campaign like in Panzer Corps where you play the whole war with your core force? Maybe even starting in Spain 1936?

Or am i limited to either east or west front, i.e. if i play Poland 1939 i cant play France 1940?
Or is there a user made campaign that covers that?

Thx in advance

Yes, seperated in eastern and western german operations by date chain till 1945. Also some more for other countries and many workshop modded ones.

On top you can do whatever you feel foe in scenarios or even modding stuff your own way.
Like endless content...
So i cant play the complete war, right?

I can either play east or west and both campaigns are only 6 scenarios each. Thats right?

You can play a full map for the whole conflict with all fronts along the full war timespan OR as a campaign series in seperate smaller maps for the different fronts. Which also includes playing for example africa and Barbarossa as seperate maps at same date on different campaign path west/east.
I would go 1939 europe map for the full conflict in one go OR seperate east/west campaign for specific one by one front warfare on each said date and map. Its all up to you but both cover the full war happenings

Hello there,

Yes, that is what the campaign is about. The campaign is a series of linked scenarios, where if you play as Germany, start in Poland in 1939, and scenario after scenario, you get more core units slots, etc

The campaign in Hex of Steel works 1:1 as the one from Panzer Corps 1, if you are familiar with the game

I would also suggest getting the demo if you are worry about the 2h limit for the refund policy

The campaign has over 100 scenarios (for all countries combined)

And no, campaigns aren't 6 scenarios each
What you see in the campaign menu are starting points, with many more scenarios in between each
They simply are key dates during the war, just like in Panzer Corps 1

However, if you go East at some point, then no, you cannot be fighting both in the East and in the West at the same time, this is not possible
So, you will have to choose at some point if you want to fight in Russia, or in Africa and continue to Italy etc

Thank you for the many more details. All my answers are answered now and i will start a campaign immidiately.

I have clocked 1200 hours in Panzer Corps and 4300 in Panzer Corps 2 , so let see how many will add up here.

I started the Polish campaign hoping I would be fighting the Russian but somehow ended up in North Africa after the fall of France.

If you have played so much of Panzer Corps 1/2 then you should love HoS :)
Have fun!

To get to the eastern front, you had to pick Operation Sea Lion South after the fall of France
If you don't want to play Sea Lion, you still have to pick it, but you can surrender/forfeit at the very beginning of the scenario and you will have the choice to move to Yugoslavia after that, which then will lead you to Greece and then Eastern Front

Hello RivvenDarke! I promise you that you will not be disappointed with the game (I have more than 4800 hours of play) because it is really complete in terms of campaigns and scenarios that we unlock later according to our strategic choices! There are also several dozen independent scenarios available and many others to download in the workshop! Moreover, in this one you can download the world map, many new units (more than a hundred) new cards and new road tiles, etc...
It looks very promising even though its quite different from PzC 2 so it may take me awhile to adapt my playstyle.
