Sometimes Smaller is Actually Bigger
Although I do enjoy playing around with the map editor I find the large map scenarios to be unplayable due to scale ,too many units, and the lack of meaning full victory conditions that would cause me to play again to improve

I would suggest you look at on Board Game Geek at 1960"s Avalon hill board war games
D Day (1961) The game board is a hex map of France The Allies are given a choice of several invasion beaches to start the game The German player sets up a defense
With a limit of 50 payer turns how fast can you liberate France The scale of the units is divisional and corps
Battle of the Bulge (1964) Map of northern France The allies sets up the defense and the Germans try to reach the Meuse River The scale of the units is regimental and battalion
Guadalcanal and Africa Corps are similar games that have smaller number of units and reduced scale
Panzer Blitz (1970 ) use tactical size units (platoon, company) with the option of creating larger units

In terms of improving victory conditions and a desire to replay I suggest you look at Perfect General 1 (1991) and Perfect General 2(1994) on You tube Both games have few types of units The "short" game is 10 turns and the" long "is 15 turns There is random set up for the AI and human . You get points by controlling cities to buy more units and each city gives victory points based on size and how many turns held You have the option of playing both sides and are given a military rank on how many points you gained with the highest being the Perfect General

Hey !

Sorry for the late answer.

The reason why I made this game, is to go against what the others are doing : turn limit + small maps. Because I loved the concept, but not those constraints ! :)

It's alright, you can always make a smaller version of it and put it up on the workshop ! I knew not everyone would like the scale, so I tried to make the editor easy to use so anyone can make its own map and share it with everyone else ! :)

I personally don't like time limits, even if it means it's not historically accurate. But it is still something you can add when you make your own map.

Thank you very much for suggesting materials for me to look into, I can't promise I will drastically change the game to match what you would like it to be, since it is the opposite of what I want for myself / it. I will try to add more features to the editor so you can achieve what you think is better in your opinion.

Cheers !
