- Barrage balloons perform the same role they did in the war. They prevent your airfields from being directly targeted by bombers until they're destroyed. They're honestly a pretty good way to provide a safeguard against players, as the AI usually doesn't plan ahead enough to go after your airfields. Set up some AA coverage around the balloons and it can prove very difficult for an airfield near the frontlines to be taken out of commission by anything but a very focused and costly attack that will leave your opponent's air coverage weaker elsewhere.
- General bonuses used to stack. They don't as of a recent update, with only the strongest bonus applying. Their bonuses are a bit higher as a result of only one applying at a time. I think sea generals have a low area of influence so that you're encouraged to keep the admiral surrounded by your heaviest ships for a proper fleet-to-fleet engagement instead of being able to use them to boost a bunch of battleships to bombard shorelines for huge damage.
- The redeploy thing has been there a while I think? I only started using it recently as well, and it's incredibly useful particularly for large maps like the Pacific scenarios.
