Version 7.0.0 - Playable now! (Beta)
Good evening everyone!

Version 7.0.0 is almost there, the localization set up is now finished, the UI has been upgraded, I have therefore released an open Beta on Steam.

Anyone of you can opt in and play this new version, it offers a lot of QoL improvements as well as fixes, and performance improvements.

In order to get the update, all you need to do is to choose the new 7.0.0_beta branch on Steam.
You can do so by right clicking on the game in your steam library, then clicking on 'properties' then 'Betas' and then just pick the 7.0.0_beta :)

And that's it! You can report bugs or anything related to it here in this feed

This is not the final version, this is the first open beta

The game is planned to be translated into the following languages by the end of the beta:
- Spanish
- German
- French
- Italian
- Chinese
- Russian
- Polish

Any other language that the community is willing to translate will be added as well
I will be sharing the localization files and you will all be able to make a translation

There is no limit as to what language the game can be translated in and support

So please, no complaining.
Also, I speak russian and I will most likely be doing the russian translation myself.

A few things regarding the new patch:
1. I tested the bug i reported regarding upgrading units to engineers (or engineers with transportation) and not getting the flamethrower attack bonus - this has been fixed but the flamethrower attack bonus is now 9( instead of 15 as before)?
2. The policies are no longer available in a campaign scenario? I can't access them.
3. A minor bug which you will probably see: in the battle prediction one of the debuffs is called: "No translation" which i believe is "Missing HP".

This is not specifically to the new patch:
I wanted to check the manpower cap limit settings but I couldn't figure out if it works for me or for the enemy; I didn't see any number to limit me somehow when i recruit new units.

1) Yes, this has been fixed as part of this update. The flamethrower bonus has been changed from a flat 15 damage to a 30% damage bonus.

2) I do not believe the policies should have been available in the first place in campaign scenarios, so, if they were available, it probably was a mistake, not sure if they should be available or not tbh ...

3) oh, did not know about that one, fixing now!

filter doesn't seem to be working on the OoB (beta 7)

Correction: doesn't work like before: 'straight' filter doesn't filter but if you select category and then tick 'sort by low health' it does.

To change the filter types you currently have to select category then untick and tick the sort by low health option to get it to re-sort

If it is not too much work, I would prefer if they are available in campaigns. Yes, they seem very powerful but we already have enough ways to increase the difficulty and anyone can ignore them if they wish to. Since it is a campaign of many scenarios, I would imagine an optimal solution would be for the policies/ policies points to be reset every scenario otherwise you will snowball and become too powerful unless the enemies can somehow use policies too or they start with active policies depending on the scenario and how far into the campaign you are.

If campaigns allow you to build airfields and factories where they didn't exist historically in regards to the Campaign in question, then for consistency Policies should also be allowed.

I'd rather have both than one or the other for logical reasons, however my personal choice is neither exist in a historical campaign.

Val, any chance of moving the donation panel for money lend / lease a bit closer to the nation doing the donating or else draw some lines across? Its a bit difficult to read across and donate to the right nation I nearly (or maybe I did) accidentally give money to the Canadians as the Germans!
