You're kidding me, right?
You do hear all the people asking for stuff that was already baked into multiple prior Halo releases?
You did see that it took them til this year to add Assault as a gametype, a staple of Halo and a fan favourite since it first trialled nearly two decades ago?
Come on...
Fair point, but we could've easily never seen Assault come to the game. It's not right, the way things have been going, but we should take whatever victories we can these days.
There's some work we need to do as a community to ensure we give the right criticism too. There's a tight balance between optimism, concern, and outrage that we've struggled to walk since 2010. Maintaining that balance is critical to steering the direction of the franchise, as is making sure we don't cave into microtransactions in the background.
We're lucky to still have Halo around, even if it's doing poorly. I'm sure Mass Effect fans are infuriated at how much we take for granted.
