  • Set Steam to offline and restart Steam. Won't fix the problem, but it'll let you know it's an issue connecting to the server.
  • Verify game files of Halo Infinite (edit someone already said this. Oh well). It's good idea to do a full restart of your PC once Steam's finished fixing the files. You know it's a full restart if you go into task manager and the uptime is only a few minutes.

thanks guys

so none of your suggestions were the solution though very much appreciated, even tried reinstalling but to no avail, HOWEVER, the solution was to delete the login credentials in windows settings which fixed the problem.

In the Windows Search bar, enter "Credential Manager", and select Credential Manager to open it.
Select Windows Credentials.
Scroll down to the section labeled Generic Credentials.
For every item that has "Xbl|2043073184" in the title:
Click on the item to expand it
Select Remove
Confirm you wish to delete that item
Launch Halo Infinite and check to see if the sign-in process has started from the beginning.
Note: This may sign you out of most or all Xbox network sign-ins on your PC.

No. I would suggest doing the following.

1) Delete your Steam Download Cache
2) Delete GPU cache and Windows 11 Temp Files
3) Verify Integrity of Games Files

It may take a second to load in for the first time after clearing all of this out but it SHOULD fix your issue.

Good luck.
thanks for the help, i followed all your steps but still no luck.

still stuck at PRESS ENTER TO PLAY.....it attempts to login or whatever but then just reverts back to the initial screen with no other prompt....

Someone mark post 5 as the topic answer because I can't seem to do it. I'm pretty certain this is THE solution to fix the problem.

You are most welcome 😁

The credentials issue dates back to the MCC. Something about how both the MCC and Infinite call up your XBL Credentials is messed up, and the only way to get a new attempt at signing in is to go into your PC's Settings and delete said credentials.

What's extra annoying is that the credentials aren't even part of the game's files, so verifying game files or even completely reinstalling the game won't do anything to fix the credentials.
Thanks for the awards whoever gave them.
Sometimes that can be entered from the controller, sometimes (I think when the controller is off when booting the game) a mouse click or cursor on enter + return key to enter.
