There's an issue where sometimes games that rely on XBox credentials (like the MCC and Infinite) don't properly call them up from your operating system's files. This can cause a floating box that you can't interact with to appear, or the game freezes on the title screen, or the game to crashes to desktop while loading. The fix is to clear the old credentials, which forces a first time login window.
To remove the old credentials, go into your PC Settings, go to your Credentials Manager, select Windows Credentials, and delete the most recent XBL|DeviceKeys. Some people have had to delete all credentials that start with XBL to get this to work. The next time you open up the game, it will force a first time login page, which will create a new XBL|DeviceKey that will be saved in your PC's Settings. You should only have to do this once, because once you're properly logged in the game will just automatically load in the credentials saved on your PC.
That said, I highly recommend logging into the XBox website before you try to login to Infinite to confirm your account information is correct, as well as your account not being on lockdown because someone tried to hack it or you entered the wrong info too many times. Some people have had to provide a phone number to enable 2FA. Once you've confirmed that there are no issues with your login info, you can remove the bad credentials that your PC keeps trying to use.
If that doesn't solve your issue then I highly recommend that you validate the integrity of your game files, that you ensure you drivers are up to date, and that you have no random background programs running. If you've done all of these steps and still can't get the game to load, then you probably have no choice but to submit a support ticket to Microsoft.
Probably didn't have to but I purged all of them. I can now access the game I paid for again.
