i googled it and found the answer
its a problem with windows sign in credentials. I removed all the specific entries that someone pointed out and it instantly fixed it
Is the game failing to get to the main screen? As in, do you just see a never ending loading bar while you see top-down views of various landscapes? That particular process is when Infinite is compiling shaders and downloading content from the servers. Sometimes something gets messed up and you have to force-close Infinite (alt+F4 or use the Task Manager) and boot the game again. You may have to reboot a couple of times to get it to work, because I'm unaware of a fix for this slow process.

If you get past the loading screen to the main screen, and the main screen is what is broken, then follow the link posted earlier. That particular issue is related to your local account credentials not loading properly (they're stored in your operating system's files, not anywhere near your game's files), so you have to clear them out to ensure a clean login.
Anyone been having crashing issues? My friend cannot get into a match most of the time without crashing this whole week. Never had this issue in the last ~year we've been playing regularly. Uninstalled and reinstalled, updated drivers, pretty much every usual troubleshooting method we have tried.

Been having this issue as well. I'll go through like 2 firefight games and somehow crash, doing my usual jam.

What if I'm on Steam Deck? I cleared browser data but no idea how to clear my Xbox credentials on Linux.

Apparently for in Linux via Proton go to steamapps/compatdata/1240440/pfx/ and move or delete the .reg files (they store registry entry's and the cred data). You might find these files somewhere on your Steam Deck in a similarly named folder.
