Crashes after starting campaign
Hello every1! I’ve a problem: When I click Campaign, the game crashes to the desktop after 2-3 seconds. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Same here - when I click Confirm upon starting a campagin, it crashes to desktop. No idea what it could be.

The only difference this time is that I installed the game in another language by mistake, than switched to English and it took 0 seconds to update installation files. However menu language changed to English all right.

Halo Infinite Campaign + Campaign High-Res Textures DLCs are ticked and installed,

EDIT: I tried disabling Steam overlay while In-game and checking file integrity - no luck.

Maybe this solution will help someone else:

I *solved* it (kind of), but I have no idea how. Here is what I did exactly:

So I installed Halo Infinite on another machine with no DLCs selected this time. The game asked me to sign in to XBOX account again, and then it took some time to build the shaders (almost eternity). After that, I quit back to Steam and selected only one DLC for the Campaign to download. Then I started the game again, selected Campaign, and after about 10 seconds, it just closed the window back to the desktop with Steam showing the game running, like several times before.

However, a few seconds later, another window appeared with Halo Infinite again building shaders (almost x4 times faster). After that, I could finally start the Campaign and play it. That's literally what I've done - nothing more and nothing less.

Thank u, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t help. My actions:
1. Delete the game
2. Install without dlcs (no campaign, no hd textures, only game)
3. Start the game and login xbox account
4. Close the game from main menu
5. Install campaign dlc
6. Open the game and start campaign
7. Crashes.
That’s all

Maybe i doing something wrong.,,

If only I knew, I guess in my case another PC had nothing which is in conflict with Halo Infinite, and installing with no DLCs had no real cure effect. The only other time I was able to successfully play Halo Infinite campaign was on some really weak laptop on Win11 (GTX 3050 Laptop card) - everything was smooth as silk until I reached the open world.

When it crashed, have you waited a bit, for another Halo Infinite instance to open? Also the link in my initial post - maybe it could help.

The only suggestion I have is to try starting Halo Infinite without any other applications running - not even your video card's specific software, only Steam and nothing else.

Yeah, it doesn't help. Halo Infinite does not run on one machine but runs well on another, both have similar specs (or exactly the same). I have no idea why. Microsoft rules as always.
