Split-screen multiplayer and bots?

I am wondering if I can play the game with a friend on the couch in multiplayer split screen and add bots to shake things up? Thanks

343 is dumb and didn't add split screen. It's halo and should have split screen.

i had more hours in with the OG halo 1-2 split-screen with a bunch of my buddy's and family than i did once xbox live kicked in, suck they didn't add it to this game.

one day someone might find out how to use it on the pc version like they did on the xbox.
they managed to get it working on the mcc.
