Why is it crashing at startup?

Try turning off the Discord Overlay. Worked for me.

I have done ALL of these and still nothing...

I completely uninstalled GeForce Experience, reinstalled it from the website, then let it update again and that fixed my problem. I still have the occasional crash, usually after games.

Here are a couple other things that can fix random crashes for some people (I think one of these is already on the known issues list, but if not, can these be added to the list?).

If you check event viewer, you may find the infamous, "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has recovered" Nvidia error, or the AMD version, "Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and was recovered".

If you are experiencing random crashes or getting either of these errors, try disabling the free HD Texture pack DLC that automatically installs when you first install Halo Infinite.

To do this, in Steam (with Halo Infinite not running), navigate to Library -> Halo Infinite -> (right click) -> Properties -> (left hand menu) DLC -> uncheck the box under Install next to Multiplayer High-Res Textures.

Now, load up your game and try to start a match.

You may also need to turn off "Async Compute" to prevent crashing if you have an AMD Radeon RX 500 Series graphics card.

To do this, start up Halo Infinite -> hit Esc (escape) or F1 -> click Settings -> Video -> (scroll down) uncheck the box next to "Async Compute" -> close and restart Halo Infinite.

update your drivers, also game does crash alot

drivers are updated, and game runs in adminstator mode. It still crashes at launch. Sometimes i get the chance to attempt to log into my microsoft account, but it crashes half way into the process. I'm just gonna give up at this point..

This update was screwy as 343 did something. I got mine to work again when I enable the discord overlay and disable it even though it was off in the first place. For some reason the update made discord overlay enable even though it was disable in discord. I notice it when I was on my 2nd monitor scrolling in the chat. Did what I make sense probably not but that was my experience but go to your discord settings, go to activity status, find Halo Infinite turn on your overlay and then turn off your overlay (even if your overlay was already off just turn it on and turn it back off again)

having same problem here. Quit Discord should help as well, i suppose (even if the overlay is enabled)?

try to disable afterburner or whatever you have on your pc to OC, that is working for me rn

RESETTING AFTERBURNER EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T USED IT OR HAD IT INSTALLED FOR YEARS WORKED. Thank you!
