Its just people bypassing the mmr rating that matchmaking takes into consideration when grouping people together into matches. Thanks to the game failing to gain interest from the public, the matchmaking system is having a hard time properly matching people up as they're limited in selection of players to put together. You have to also consider the regional preferences to reduce as much high ping as possible, so all of those factors will result in some players being stuck in queue hell. To combat it, people will make alt accounts to have a "fresh" rating allowing matchmaking to be flexible on the player selection they'll be given.
This is the late stage of a stagnated player base, people start making alt accounts and cannibalize each other.
That’s all we are to these companies…numbers and accounts. And the more MS and HS accounts there are (actual or Smurf), then the better it is for their bottom line.
It's only the bottom line that matters to them. To maximise your dollar for their substandard product.
