New Infinite Players are on Fire - Onyx Players restart journey?
I have been noticing players with very low games-played absolutely dominating matchmaking. I am seeing players with sub 50 games with 60% accuracy and perfect team chemistry, reading plays to a point where spawning gets you killed lately.

Let's be honest, there's no real incentive to be cheating on a dead game like Infinite. Rumours suggest that players hitting a certain level of Onyx cannot find matches with the current matchmaking system.

Could it be that pro-level players (i.e. experienced, desperate to play halo players) have reached a point where the only way to find games is to create new accounts and restart the climb while leaving the rest of the player base to rot in their wake?

I am sure the cheeky ones will say it is a skill issue. Fair enough. Anyone else been just outright losing more than 70% of their games to teams with players with 1-100 games while you are paired with players with 2,000-15,000 games?

correct

Its just people bypassing the mmr rating that matchmaking takes into consideration when grouping people together into matches. Thanks to the game failing to gain interest from the public, the matchmaking system is having a hard time properly matching people up as they're limited in selection of players to put together. You have to also consider the regional preferences to reduce as much high ping as possible, so all of those factors will result in some players being stuck in queue hell. To combat it, people will make alt accounts to have a "fresh" rating allowing matchmaking to be flexible on the player selection they'll be given.

This is the late stage of a stagnated player base, people start making alt accounts and cannibalize each other.

Smurf accounts in gaming have been happening since year dot and absolutely nothing will be done about it because it falsely embellishes the numbers playing the game and holding accounts.

That’s all we are to these companies…numbers and accounts. And the more MS and HS accounts there are (actual or Smurf), then the better it is for their bottom line.

It's only the bottom line that matters to them. To maximise your dollar for their substandard product.
