Great game, underrated
I love this game, I know I might be in the minority, but what they did for the multiplayer scene in my opinion is great. I also like that the cheating I saw in other bigger games like cod seems absent entirely. Anyways, I wish people gave this title the accolades it deserves. Peace :)

5 was so much better multiplayer wise, imo.

There are pros to Halo Infinite but there are also so many glitches that people even myself trash Halo Studios (343) because they NEVER resolve or FIX these freaking issues. Its this frustration with the Devs that has given Halo Infinite a bad rep amongst gamers.

game itself is fun but everything surrounding it isn't. for an arena shooter is terribly optimized. much depends on randomness of connection quality, glitches, stutter, and matchmaking. and randomness should not exist in arena shooter. mostly frustration made ppl leave this game
Underrated ? - Yes

Has a ton of problems still ? - Also yes

Are the servers working right now? - Doesn't seem like it

@Itsalltaxus I am 100% with you there (2001 Halo:CE OG here). Previous games I still adore but they feel a little clunky after Infinite...

@Aquifer429 Halo 5 MP was so good... there was so much fricking depth! I played the Halo 5: Forge on PC for three or four years in college and after... to yield some perspective: I started playing that because I had no xbox one, and I desperately wanted a modern somewhat populated Halo experience. It took me two years (roughly) of
playing somewhat regularly to achieve some level of profieciency...

The icing on the cake was the first time I defeated a (lighthearted) rival H5:F gamer... Glitch Glitches (dude is insanely good, props bud !). I had reached a next level, personally. From then on... consistently defeated them. That was a GOOD feeling! "Now I AM the master..." --Darth Vader xD :D =D

and @Cerberusbindweed I don't particularly care if a few glitches get fixed or not. To the average gamer a exploitable glitch is the end of the world... especially in a grudge match or whatnot. IMHO 343i is a competent group of developers... Don't judge someone for their rare(R) failings. I think the community is way too harsh (I am thwacking the foliage if you know what I mean here... [PSA: that IS SWF, keep your mind on the road not the gutter]).

Gameplay is great and the people who say halo peaked at 3 are nostalgic and nothing else.

That being said 343 can kindly get lost in the woods and use the soil as a blanket for the amount of scummy sh1t they pulled while the game was being developed.

1.Promising full customization on release.

Didn't happen and the first season lasted more than 150 days due to season 2 not being ready at all.

2.Lying about why the promised customization is not in the game on day one.

A bunch of very nosey and talented people found all the armor pieces in the game files and if that wasn't enough proof 343 was saving those cosmetics so they can periodically sell them in the in-game store for real cash, another smart fella noticed that when playing againts bots the AI has access to all the armor pieces as well which ultimately defeats the argument that "they aren't ready yet".

3.Selling the same shade of blue, red or green multiple times under a new name for various irl cash prices.

I have nothing to add to this one, that's just greed.

4.Making progression almost impossible on purpose, pretending to fix it only to make it worse and then finally making it almost managable but not so much that you don't use the in-game shop, which worked without a flaw on day one btw while the game had 3 maps/modes to choose from without the basic function to change them at will.

That's all from the top of my head rn.

I would say f@ck 343 and the people who made all those horrible decisions but after we found out 343 fires people faster than they can pump out a texture I think i'll just be wasting my breath, those people are long gone.

hows this game the best since 3 , when the player numbers speak for themselves? this game wishes it had even a quarter of reach or 3's playercount - the two biggest halo games ever. glaze this game all you want, but like i said - the numbers speak for themselves & this is just a very unpopular opinion

Yeah might have something to do with how they lost manpower not even a month into the game back in December 2021, than 4 months later they lost 200 more, then once forge was finished were told not to give the game as much attention

it's really sad that people will defend xbox executives actively interfering with this game and just blame devs for not being able to flawlessly handle getting their limbs chopped off

Really? The Campaign in this game is very disappointing
Fax_the_Sender Dec 21, 2024 @ 6:40am
i think the open world-ish nature of the campaign spoiled it as it all felt the same throughout. i know CE has some repetitive level design on map layouts but it still felt different across all the missions.

infinite is basically one map on the ring and a few smaller maps for all the interior bits plus the ship at the beginning. makes the campaign feel like the shortest and smallest of all the games.

I agree, but since I played it on legendary, it was a lot of fun and a challenge for me. I enjoyed taking out each base. I think they desperately needed more climates and even if they just did snow or desert it would have made a huge difference and would have opened things up.
ShatteredPumpkin Dec 24, 2024 @ 12:42pm
i agree the game is underrated lore fanboys just love hating anything that doesnt have good story anymore like wtf do you expect? 90% of all games these days have almost to no story anymore xD
