Halo Studios is no improvement over 343
seriously, to honor the 20th anniversary of halo 2 here's the privilege of purchasing Mk6

and they didn't even bother to price it 1 to 1 with any of the credit packs.

It's almost $60 to get Mk V and VI in Infinite combined now.

And the new gun is incredibly lame.

H5 and Infinite combined have been the most demoralizing set of releases a Halo fan could possibly imagine. I can't believe that they didn't do the obvious no-brainer move for Infinite and lock MK V/VI behind progression challenges that'll keep the fans playing, the classic fans happy, and the overall health of the game higher. Instead, they lock them behind insane paywalls and act surprised when a small fraction of the playerbase buys them.
It also leads to less classic Spartan silhouettes actually running around in the multiplayer, where you'd expect to see everything UNSC-power-armor + Fractures at play all day long. You'd think it would be in the devs' best interest to give the classic armors away for free...
Never will call it 'Halo Studios', it will forever be 343i, no escape.

it's like twitter being renamed x.

you can't make something better by changing it's name. it'll still suck.

With how long the game has been out you'd expect actual development in the game such as new weapons, vehicles, etc. Yet we get nothing but paid cosmetics added to the marketplace. It's always been in a state of disrepair and a name change and new game is not going to fix it. Halo is doomed and will continue to be until someone actually takes action to bring actual talent and passion back to the series. But my hopes aren't high. A lot of the player base doesn't see it as a problem or else we would have mass complaints flooding 343i and possibly even see change. But no everyone just continues to say "wow this update is great". When all it introduces is past maps with game mode additions then 10 new armor sets added to the market.
Usually if I don't like i game I go play a different one instead of typing essays on forums 24/7 but I guess thats where the strong differ from the weak. Figure it out:steamhappy:

You realise people b*tch about games because they care right

If they've been doing it for 10+ years and haven't gotten anywhere, then there's no point

wouldn't be an echo chamber if the incompetent developers got off their butts and fixed the remaining "unfixed" bugs.

it's only an echo chamber because no one from their side responds to anything but praise.
a company that doesn't like complaints and fails to act is not a great company.

it's a piss poor one.

343 followed the trend of moving discussions off forums to discord. that tells you an awful lot about their idea of consumer interaction.

Maybe because the game actually has problems worth talking about? That still have yet to be fixed? Crashes, disconnects, EAC authorization, null hammers, null rockets, controller issues? Selling stuff that should be free? No strafe inertia in a "legacy movement" playlist?

Submit tickets for problems you still have or go on X or reddit and @Unyszek. Im not saying you're whining about nothing but a lot of the problems you mentioned are either variable from player to player or they're common in almost every other MP shooter these days. And I mean ohhh boo hoo no strafe inertia in delta arena, as if you even had a clue over a week ago that this playlist was even coming. "Grrrr! They added something cool to the game but its not perfect by my standards. Game bad".

So what about me not knowing the playlist was coming invalidates this problem? Like it or not, it IS significant.

I can only tolerate the annoying sprintslide jigglepeek strafespam sweatfest of main playlists for an hour or two, when it should just be fun. Delta Arena mostly is the fun I'm looking for, but strafespam and jigglepeeking ruins it. In a perfect world with perfect netcode, these annoying tricks would just be skill gaps, if your aim was true you could still hit them, but this is not a perfect world, imperfect netcode gives players inherently unfair advantages, and old Halo games had workarounds for these imperfections that this so-called "classic movement" playlist lacks.

Like seriously how did you think "Grrrr! You can't see into the future so you don't get to complain! Game good." was a logical counterargument?

It was a GREAT counter-argument, and all just did was enforce it. It sounds like Halo Infinite is just not for you. You seem to have endless issues with the core gameplay and so you try to find relief by playing Delta Arena where you still aren't having a good time. As if the mode was supposed to be tailor-made for you when you don't even enjoy the base-modes. It sounds like you need to do some soul-searching.

Have you considered not being a glazer and having a real discussion for more than 5 seconds instead of trying to silence criticism with illogical bad-faith arguments?

There is no world where "you probably didn't even know this was coming so you don't get to complain" makes sense in this context. I saw the news feed, I saw the balance changes, the customization overview, the new avenger, the delta arena mode, but surprise surprise there's no mention about strafe inertia (or the lack thereof) in any of those posts. Let's say I didn't read them before the update. What changes? Nothing at all. The only way I could have known about it in advance is seeing into the future which isn't possible.

Recent shooters having the same problems as Halo Infinite doesn't excuse Halo Infinite having them too. This is just whataboutism. Especially considering previous Halo games specifically implemented workarounds for these problems. Strafe inertia alleviated strafe spam and peek advantage. Over Two Decades Ago. With a tighter budget and a smaller development team/studio.

My problems are not "endless," and I never argued Delta Arena was tailor made for me and only me specifically, you are making stuff up and being hyperbolic again.

My frustrations with the game doesn't disqualify me from being a member of the target audience. They aren't inherent contradictions to the core gameplay. I'm not complaining that sprinting, strafing and sliding exist. They are OK, but frustratingly abuseable right now. That doesn't mean I want to see them gone, just improved somehow. It's a Halo game. I play Halo games. I like and don't like aspects of every game I play. Infinite has a lot of improvements, and a lot of regression. If it's trying to be the successor, Ideally it should have very little regression compared to its predecessors.

You go ahead and say whatever you think you need to say to help yourself sleep every night and wake up every day to play a game that you don't even enjoy. BTW me pointing out that you're a head case does not equate to glazing. I didn't mean to make an impact as big as I seem to have when mentioning that you wouldnt have known about Delta Arena but clearly I struck a nerve.
