Halo Infinite July 2024 MA40 "Fix"

Alright, so I know I've already made one post about this. But here we go again. This MA40 change has absolutely crippled the weapon. This weapon went from being the reason I play the game in the first place to the reason I am about to uninstall. The reason being is the over doing of the bloom effect on the reticle after the change. Before the nerf the MA40 was a contender at close to mid range easy. At times If I was controlling the weapon recoil and reticle well enough, I'm beating the BR at some medium range engagements. I at least had a chance as long as the BR didn't perfect me. Now...absolutely NO CHANCE IN HELL!!! I have tried adjusting to the change and have decided Id rather just not play anymore. THE MA40 IS NOW THE WORST WEAPON IN THE GAME. Hell I'd take the plasma pistol over the MA40 now. It is no longer an effective option. 343 has turned the MA40 into an SMG with an AR ttk. And to make it worse, the entire skill gap the weapon previously had is gone. It no longer exists. I've heard some people say they agree with this change, the AR was too good. No I don't think so. we've seen the AR at "TOO GOOD". And before the most recent change was NOT that. Before the change It was in a good middle place. Not too good, not too bad, very effective in the right hands, and usable in the average wielder's hands. 343 YOU HAVE RUINED the gun COMPLETELY. Please revert this or at the least tweak the bloom so there is some sort of control to be had over the reticle instead of it just blooming out nearly instantly and relying on RNG and tracing a target. THIS killed the game for me. And I've been obsessed with this game. Until today when it just drove me up a wall. FIX IT!!!!


EDIT( Slayer games have turned into nearly 100% sidekicks. Sidekick vs Ar the sidekick wins 99% of the time now. outside of point blank range, but even then...

Been my favorite gun in every halo game since the first game. I have the most kills with it by far, but to play the game just to use that gun is a bit much.

yeah the bloom is awful, unless you are up close and catch the enemy off guard the AR is basically the worst gun to use.

Full bloom at two shots fired is actually insane and it still has a headshot multiplier if I wanted this much RNG I would have played Boulder's gate 3 Or Morrowind

I agree with you 100%, I miss it man. It was peak and they ruined it.
