This setting is under the animation quality or something like that !
But I looked where you said, and in animation quality in settings it just gives the option of ultra, or auto.Saying it will put it as high as it can go anyway.
I have the settings on ultra, and it runs beautifully. But there is no mention anywhere of ray tracing, which is so weird, as on you tube in options they have ray tracing (the words.)
I dont suppose its a big deal, its just odd, seeing as 4080 have RT, and I have it in other games Spider-man etc. Just not in this.
Ray-tracing is not tied to the ultra preset, you must manually turn it on. Its under Async compute...
Edit: this turned out to be an issue on the campaign. multiplayer has working raytraced shadows, but the campaign is abandoned.
That must be why I could never find it. I only play campaign, and as much as I appreciated the brilliant feedback from the guys above.
I could never find it either, even under Async.
Mystery solved. 👍🏻
Kudos.
And thanks to the other guys for the time and help.
