Suggestion - Reconnect after disconnect in ranked

Some of us have pretty crap connections, with "micro" drops....

Is there a way to implement a reconnect to last ranked match?

So far all I am getting is error disconnected from server...

Any chance for this? Would be a game changing factor.

If you're playing with a friend and you drop but your friend doesn't, you're able to rejoin on that friend and continue the match. I've only seen this work in Social matches though, so I can't confirm if this works in Ranked or not.

Not really the suggestion or help I am looking for...

So when I get disconnected from the ranked game, error lost connection with server, I want to regain the connection and jump back in to the ranked game I had been disconnected from.

You were pretty clear in your original post. All I offered was a solution that might help you, because auto-reconnect currently does not exist. People have been asking for auto-reconnect for a long time.

For the record, I'm not a Dev of this game, and the Devs themselves don't interact on these Steam forums. You'd be better off making a post on the Halo WayPoint forums - you know, the official website run by the company that makes Halo?

Error disconnect from sever when in a ranked game. Cannot rejoin the ranked game.

Something to work on if you are capable of doing so.

They do, just not commonly. A few of the devs (mostly CMs) lurk here, and one or two interact for technical issues every now and again.

True, but it's so very rare that I'm not even going to bring it up as an option for this guy. He doesn't even seem to realize - even after it's been explained to him - that the vast majority of users here aren't Devs and have no way of helping him with his connection issues. Aside from him simply getting better internet or maybe the rejoin on partner option, he really doesn't have any options.

After doing a bit of digging, it's clear that OP just has really bad internet and either can't or won't pay for better internet. He could just say that instead of repeating his problem three times in a row. Not sure if he has any friends willing to play Ranked with him, despite there being an entire official Discord server full of people playing Halo.

To be clear, my gripe isn't with him posting his question, but posting it and expecting a code-based result without even trying - or explaining why he won't try - any of the suggested workarounds. Combine that with no mention of trying to reach out via any of 343i's many official contact points (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, etc, or even submitting a ticket), and I'm left feeling annoyed at how self-centered OP is.

At least one solution to his problem already exists, but for undisclosed reasons he won't take advantage of it. He came here for help, some help was offered, and then with no explanation pivoted back to his original complaint with no mention of why or even if the suggested help works for him.
