Is campaign worth playing at all now?
I dropped the campaign only a few hours in after I realized it ran like crap and looked even worse. Horrible TAA, constant frame drops, textures just straight up not loading in, etc. Has the campaign been updated at all? I feel bad having dropped $80 on a game I've barely touched but everything I've read just says the story is mediocre and I haven't heard anything about performance or graphical tweaks.

Honestly you’re better off going to Reddit or a Halo-themed discord server ( .gg/halo, .gg/rhalo, etc) rather than here. Most of the people here are… extremely cynical.

I never dropped below 60 fps but the framerate was inconsistent for me. TAA sucks but I got used to it. I ended up enjoying the campaign but if you didn't like it before you probably won't like it now.

The Campaign is fun, but limited. Its nice for about 30 minutes at a time

Ya do a fresh install of the game, don't download or use high res textures, customise your install options beforehand. What is your PC specs btw? It's' only a 25gb download i can download it in 50 mins i think

I have a 1660ti, Ryzen 7 2700X, and 32GB RAM, so not incredible but I can run most games fine on medium-ish

It will do fine enough then for the campaign. Performance wise it runs similar to Fire Fight. So if you can play that you can probably run the campaign fine.

CO-OP campaign is pretty fun especially on legendary difficultly. Each game feels good (I'm only on ODST as of writing) and I haven't had any crashes. Considering its my first time playing Halo, I would recommend it.

Never was.
Just play firefight, it's... bout the same. Just no weirdly lit cutscene's nor Drake-Level-In-The-Feels-Chief

Campaign is trash. Open-world concept was great, but it feels like they threw a half backed Campaign in to draw in more players to then convince them to play multi-player. It's an empty map with only a few skirmish while heading to different POI. I also hated how they ended the story in a tonbe continue type of deal as if there is going to be a DLC to continue the story. NOPE! They made it clear that there is no plan to add content nor any DLC to Campaign. The main purpose of Halo infinite was multi-player. I will not be buying their next halo game.

I bet you that if they released the game as MP with no SP, they would have had a low player base plus, no source of income since MP is FTP. They had to throw something in there to make some money to fund the MP part of the game so they came up with a rushed SP Campaign. Using that money as another source of income to help fund MP.

Almost every halo game ended with a cliffhanger or “to be continued”

eh i feel its a bit more bland than older titles but the shenanigans you can do will always be entertaining. if you like farcry you'll probably enjoy it

This was kind of the impression I got from the few hours I played it. Neat concept and mechanics but just half-baked and underwhelming despite the amount of hype before it launched. Everything I've heard about the story seems dull as well.

"Cynical" lol sorry what?

Are we supposed to be excited for "The future of halo: Infinite" when there is literally its next title being developed *while* campaign is getting *no* additions what-so-ever? My man!
we get it, you don't like 343. why are you still here?

Why should someone who is more focused on the story be interested in playing said story, when there is no story being added on until whatever comes next, while the current is while better than previous recent entries better, gets repetitive incredibly quickly? I feel this is a fair question lmfao

Play a different game? Not every game or every story is meant to be replayed 5, 10, or 50 times. Did you play through it once, and enjoy it? Yes? Then it filled its intended reason for creation. Did you play through it more than once and enjoy it? Maybe? Good. Are you bored with multiple play throughs? That's not bad design. Its called playing it too many times. Go play something else. That's OK. Really. It is.

Sounds about right honestly.
No, no it isn't. and no, I never even finished it cause I got bored lmfao.
Games on life support, the story was interesting at first but got boring due to it being repetitive no matter how you wanna try to spin it. Telling me to just go away cause you don't wanna accept that won't change it either. Deal with it like I am lol. I'm literally only here again to try firefight and to see how the game is being received seeing as no one is going to talk in chat. I'm gonna try firefight cause the core gameplay of infinite is about the only thing going for it.

Talk about a buncha excuses though dude.
That's right, the only solution that pro 343 people can say is play a different game if you want quality, re-playable content, or entertainment. If that doesn't let you know everything about finite, I don't know what will. The MCC is still enjoyable, but honestly finite is only fun for >30 minutes at a time.
