Rank is becoming nothing more then a second set of social play lists if they continue down this path. Where the ranks will be nothing more then another progression system where you just keep going up the more you play.
Hmmm? So if every single losing match a person leaves for any given reason I never lose CSR. If you can never rank down, then all you can technically do is rank up correct?
Also, it's not 100% true that it's out of their control. If you choose to solo queue instead of going out and making friends with reliable players to start fire teams, that's 100% on you. Bad results of solo queuing are more along the lines of consequences for choosing to be lazy.
The changes they're doing is rewarding being lazy and nothing else honestly. This also potentially could bring problems if people start bullying teammates to quit in order to keep their CSR when they know they're going to lose, so it enables toxicity in the community. I believe this became an issue at one point in Overwatch where they made it that rank didn't decrease after a person left so people started bullying others in mass take advantage of it.
