Returning player - FPS question
Is the menu really locked at 36 fps?

Also, for some reason when I start a game it locks itself to 36 fps. I have to toggle and untoggle vsync for it to actually work and give me proper frames.

How is this game still absolutely dreadful after a YEARS break...

Yeah I had the same issue. V-Sync used to just sync with my 144hz monitor, but now it gets locked to 35 and completely grays out the option of setting a locked max frame rate. Only thing I could do was set the minimum to 24. Might be a bug, but unless there's an .ini you can edit somewhere the only fix appears to be just turning off V-Sync and setting the max frame rate to match your refresh rate (although it doesn't feel smooth like it used to with vsync).

S05 in-game VSync does not toggle correcly, you must turn it on at the gpu level.
