Latest driver 545.92 has not fixed shader cache at every startup
This makes me think the shader cache at start might be a halo problem or hasnt been ironed out in drivers. Anyone else still having the shader cache building at every start with the new driver?

You need to roll back to 537.58
It is still longer than S4 but it is so much bearable

Same. I thought there was something wrong with my nvme drive. Nope. Halo is still a technical bag of ass.

343 did not break it. Nvidia changed the shader cache location in the 545 driver update a week ago.

Shader thing was an issue for my game but another issue that has arisen is that I cant click off the game since the new update without the game quitting. Like Ill go to switch tabs to turn someone up in discord and the game just DIES INSTANTLY. Anyone having that issue or just me?

Idk. My sharers update once for Apex after a driver update. Then it's fine after that. I think this is totally a Halo issue.

And every other game has zero issues dealing with this change, but for some reason Halo Infinite is the only one. You're right, it must be Nvidias fault.

I saw the patch today and thought, "YES, they definitely fixed that!"

I am in disbelief that they roll out an update and I still have to wait 15 minutes to open the game. Makes me want to vomit. Incompetence is unrelenting these days. :sacrificed:

ROLLING BACK IS NOT THE FIX. FFS PEOPLE. ITS ON THE DEVS TO FIX THEIR ♥♥♥♥ UP ON NOT TESTING BEFORE RELEASING...im on driver 536.99, and same damn issue. for once, its actually not nvidia and their stupid way of releasing broken drivers day 1 of their update

If it's on 343i then why aren't AMD users having problems?
