How is the player base in AUS?

Last time I played I kept getting placed in lobbies with 200+ ping.

Im in NZ playing at midnight to 2am my time and getting 40 ping lobbies most the time.

I get australian lobbies occasionally, but more often than not it's either high ping lobbies or no matches at all.

I get 10ms lobbies regularly but mostly after 4pm Sydney time. Wait time around 30s or so and very playable.
Any other time i'm waiting much much longer for a 200+ ping match.
There is a handful of dedicated Oz and Kiwi players.
