unexceptable gtx 970 performance
so poor, dont see why a gtx 970 can't run this game with higher fps.
hope for some performance updates on older cards.

There's lots of cheap graphics cards now the last few months, try to upgrade if you can:steamhappy:

I think im just gunna upgrade for 1440p, I don't want to support unoptimization and cashgrabbing, PC gaming aint that good anyways, why go 4k.

I've played this game on a GTX 970, all settings low, at 1080p. Multiplayer ran smooth, and low settings actually don't look bad. I was inspecting textures up close and I couldn't believe how crisp they were.
Bro, you can literally get a used 3060 ti for just a few hundred dollars. I'm sure you have a few things laying around your house that you can sell for that kind of money. Also, check jawa.gg for deals on used PC hardware.

its the graphics driver itself downgrade your driver to 5.16 and you should be able to play the game

I was wondering, I feel like it was running worse.
I'll just wait, im not downgrading my drivers, deleting the game. i'll wait till the optimize the game.

It's not that the game is unoptimized, the engine requires higher GPU memory usage and the 970 technically only has 3.5GBs with .5GBs being a "buffer" so to speak. Before my upgrade I was on a 1070 Ti and it ran ok. I would honestly upgrade, 2070 or 3060.

Sell your 970 asap and upgrade. That card is not worth to keep around when it can't even do 4gb properly like the person above me explained, once the vram crosses over to the weaker 500mb you'll most likely experience issues ranging from stutters to massive frame drops and many games these days need 4gb or more so your problem will only get worse with time as they keep pushing the need for higher vram. You should've honestly sold it ages ago and upgraded to at least a 1080 but luckily you got better options now so I suggest you do that.

oh no....
"My old pc cant handle newer games" whatever will i do....
"oh i know!, i blame the game for being unoptimized regardless of my hardware"

Well granted, most games are unoptimized the past decade....
But sometimes its just your stone age pc as you either refuse to upgrade your pc, or you cant upgrade it bcoz you keep buying games upon games and wondering why you cant afford a better pc when you could have afford it instead of wasting the money on games you might not even be able run to smoothly.

And if you check the store page! it even state a gtx 1050 ti for minimum specs!
if you play on lower hardware, thats your fault.....

Honestly, dont even go for 1440. Unless your playing on a tv or something. I have a 3070 right now, and I can get 100+ frames in most games, but id rather just be at 200+ frames at 1080p.
