Now I'm no conspiracy theorist but I'm genuinely beginning to believe the Halo Infinite is a high-budget troll. I could swear that even when I'm on a low ping server however rare that happens, that I can walk around the map away from the action, and the MOMENT I get into a firefight suddenly my latency spikes and sometimes even get the packet loss error come up for a split second. I know I'm not the only one who gets this, I am lost as to why other than this being entirely intentional and 343 just absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with us. There's no other way I can explain waiting so long to get thrown into 200ms matches most of the time, and the few times it is a 'good' connection it just happens to go to hell the moment there's any action.
Played about 5 matches, all with garbage connections. In one match, me and an enemy melee at the same time, our shields are down, on my screen, he is in front, back facing me, I melee, nothing happens, but he instantly melees nowhere near me and I die. Gotta love how the game puts you in matches with the worst connections.
But is it really?
I feel like I am paying in other ways. It's like every time I want to enjoy myself the game is like DO NOT DO THAT. YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN HERE. Jesus Christ what a corporate nightmare of a product.
