Season 1 -> Season 2

Can someone please explain me how will battle pass items work? I bought battle pass for season 1 but haven't unlocked a third of it, I'm on level 70. What will happen to all the stuff I haven't unlocked yet? And is season 2 getting new cores or just new cosmetics for the existing ones? Do I have to purchase battle pass again or not? So many questions and so few brain cells

If you didn't buy a seasonal pass, you won't be able to progress down it when a new season comes along.
If you bought a seasonal pass, it is yours forever and you can progress it whenever you want.

You can go back and buy an old seasonal pass whenever you choose

You can continue to unlock S1 pass. They don't expire (only free rewards will go away unless you own the pass). You will need to buy S2 pass but that will allow you to earn back credits to buy S3

You can only progress 1 season at a time.
So once S2 comes around, you will be given the ability to choose which pass you are progressing down.
You can finish S1 or you can start progressing S2.
And you can come back to S1 at any time, whenever you feel like it.

Same for when S3 comes, you can choose to progress down that, S2, or (if you still haven't finished it) S1

got it, thanks, what about armor cores? those are still same and we just get extra cosmetics from season 2?

We're getting 1 new (free) core in the BP.
"Rashaka" (might've spelled that wrong) which will be counted as a cannon core for when they add crosscore customization.

Then for the fracture event, we're getting another free core.

Free Rewards don't go away.

If you haven't purchased an old battle pass when a new active season comes around you cannot progress the pass any further. Any content from tiers you unlocked previously still exists but you just cannot unlock anymore content from the old pass unless you purchase it. At which point you can continue progression.

If you purchased the Season 1 Battle Pass you can choose whether to progress it or the Season 2 Battle Pass whenever Season 2 launches. Your progress is saved.

Note that you lose the perk of having an additional challenge slot unless you purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass.

There's a new core; Rakshasa and tons of cosmetics for it. There are also more Mk. VII cosmetics in the pass too.

You have to purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass but it also includes 1000Cr unlockable throughout the pass so by purchasing it you can basically get every other Battle Pass after it for free by just playing the game (assuming they don't increase the price of the battle pass or reduce the amount of unlockable credits in the battle passed)
